Just enter your profile information as it appears on your valid, official passport and answer five short questions about your trip. Then you will receive a CBP receipt with an encrypted barcode that is valid for four hours. At your port of entry, find the designated line for Mobile Passport Control, show your passport to the CBP officer and scan the barcode on your receipt. Doing the work before you arrive helps to avoid the hassle. For an additional fee, Mobile Passport Plus users can automate data entry by scanning their passport information into the app and securely storing it for easy access during future trips.
