The abridged version of Dr. Freud’s “The Interpretation of Dreams” was published in 1901. Freud introduces his theory of the unconscious with respect to dream interpretation, and discusses what would later become the theory of the Oedipus complex. The original text, while lengthy and complex, is widely regarded as one of Freud’s most significant works.
