A brand-new kind of attraction is headed to Orlando: Sloth World. It is the world’s first-ever “slotharium” and is scheduled to open in February 2026 on International Drive.
Sloth World will be a one-of-a-kind, immersive wildlife experience, inviting guests to step directly into a rainforest-style habitat. With trees, vines, and natural climbing structures, more than 40 sloths will roam freely. Visitors will observe the animals in a calm, natural setting, and there will be no cages or barriers.
The new facility spans about 7,500 square feet and will host several species of sloths, including babies born on site. Tours are designed to be small-group and guided by trained “Sloth Ambassadors,” with a strong emphasis on education, conservation, and ethical treatment of animals.
“We want guests to feel like they’ve stepped into the sloths’ world – not the other way around,” said Pete Bandre, Vice President of Sloth World. According to the attraction’s planners, all interactions will be hands-off, giving visitors a rare opportunity to observe natural sloth behaviors up close.
Located at 6582 International Drive, Sloth World is planned to operate daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., including holidays. Tickets are priced at $49, with VIP presales already underway.
For Orlando, a city known for its theme parks and family-friendly attractions, Sloth World offers a slower, gentler kind of experience.
