Apple is reportedly in discussions with leading artificial intelligence firms OpenAI and Anthropic to power a future version of Siri, signaling a potential shift away from solely relying on its in-house technology. According to a report published by Bloomberg on Monday, the tech giant is exploring external partnerships to enhance its voice assistant capabilities as it works to keep pace in the fast-evolving AI landscape.
Internally, Apple is continuing development on a project dubbed “LLM Siri,” which utilizes proprietary large language models (LLMs).
