Gemstone collectors, jewelry enthusiasts, and families can explore the world of rocks and minerals at the Tampa Bay Mineral and Science Club’s 67th Annual Fall Gem, Mineral, and Jewelry Show on Nov. 7–8. The event will take place at the Special Events Center at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa.
The two-day show will feature more than 60 vendors selling and displaying a variety of natural materials and jewelry-related items. Attendees can browse gemstones, mineral slabs, cabochons, beads, and finished jewelry, with options for collectors, hobbyists, and those interested in creating their own pieces.
Gem Show Offers Activities for Kids
The annual event also includes activities designed to introduce children to rocks, minerals and geology. A dedicated kids’ area will offer hands-on experiences, including a sluice for panning, a touch table where visitors can learn to identify rocks, and a scavenger hunt throughout the show.
Children and adults can also visit a mineral identification booth for help identifying specimens. A bean bag toss game with prizes will provide another activity for families.
The show will be held in an indoor, air-conditioned venue. A concession stand will offer food and refreshments, and an ATM will be available on-site. Parking is available for an additional fee.
