Central Florida is quickly becoming a top destination for next-generation virtual reality (VR) attractions. Across the region—from the action-packed International Drive to educational hubs like the Orlando Science Center—visitors can find a wide range of VR experiences that blend gaming, storytelling, and simulation. Whether you’re navigating alien worlds, flying high in a virtual cockpit, or battling it out in futuristic arenas, these attractions deliver unforgettable, tech-driven fun.

Max Action Arena at ICON Park®: VR Without Limits

Located within ICON Park®, Max Action Arena offers the Zero Latency Extreme Virtual Reality experience—one of the most advanced free-roaming VR platforms in the region. Players move freely in physical space while immersed in digital worlds. Choose from six multiplayer adventures, each filled with puzzles, enemies, and high-stakes missions. This attraction encourages teamwork, quick thinking, and full-body movement, creating an adrenaline-pumping experience ideal for groups or competitive players.

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex: A Virtual Mission to the Moon

At the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, history and innovation come together through interactive exhibits and cutting-edge simulations. The Mission Moon VR experience lets visitors embark on a virtual lunar expedition. Players “launch” from the legendary Launch Complex 39, collect samples on the moon’s surface, and complete challenges as a team. Designed for two groups of four, this limited-capacity, multiplayer experience also includes a spectator feature, allowing guests to interact and influence the mission using tablets. Reservations are strongly recommended.

Andretti Indoor Karting & Games: Multi-Level VR Adventures

Andretti Indoor Karting & Games, located in the International Drive Entertainment District, offers three distinct VR attractions in one location:

  • The 7D Dark Ride Experience combines motion simulation, 3D visuals, and environmental effects to create a thrilling shooter-style game where players compete for top scores.

  • The Hyperdeck uses a moving platform, wind machines, and heat effects to immerse up to four players in fast-paced virtual action.

  • The Hologate Arena transports groups of up to four into dynamic digital landscapes using HTC Vive headsets, offering a wide variety of interactive multiplayer games.

Dezerland Park Orlando: Simulators and Holographic Realms

As Florida’s largest indoor attraction, Dezerland Park features not one but two unique VR experiences:

  • Verse Orlando blends holographic imaging with interactive gameplay. Visitors explore five themed “playgrounds” filled with puzzles, creatures, 3D art, and digital characters in a visually stunning world.

  • US Simulation offers high-end VR and AR simulators, including 10 race car stations and 14 flight simulators. The flight experiences feature FAA-approved programming, realistic visuals, and customizable environments—perfect for thrill-seekers or aspiring pilots.

Dave & Buster’s Orlando: VR with a Classic Arcade Twist

At Dave & Buster’s on International Drive, guests can dive into VR adventures themed around popular franchises like Top Gun: Maverick and Transformers. The immersive platform places players directly into cinematic worlds, offering high-intensity action and responsive gameplay. After your VR session, stick around for classic arcade games, food, and drinks. For added value, non-VR games are half-price every Wednesday.

Orlando Science Center: Flight Training Through Virtual Reality

The Orlando Science Center offers an educational spin on VR through its Flight Lab, created in collaboration with Lockheed Martin. This hands-on exhibit simulates real-world aviation scenarios using advanced flight simulators. Activities include AI workshops, space simulations, and timed flight missions that teach STEM skills while engaging the imagination. Check the center’s schedule for VR flight simulator availability.

Lonely Dog Immersive Experience: Art, Storytelling, and VR

Step into an alternate universe at the Lonely Dog Immersive Experience, where music, art, and animation converge. The storyline follows Arthur Snout—aka Lonely Dog—on a journey from underdog to artist. The experience features a VR lounge where visitors can join Lonely Dog on an aerial journey across fantastical environments. Additional attractions include an interactive art studio, a selfie station, a music lounge, and a gallery showcasing work by New Zealand artist Ivan Clarke.
