Adults interested in learning mahjong can get started with beginner classes at the Land O’Lakes Branch of the Pasco County Public Library Cooperative. The program introduces newcomers to the traditional tile-based game through sessions held at the library.
Classes take place Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to noon in the Land O’Lakes Branch Meeting Room. The first session is scheduled for Nov. 18, 2026, with additional classes planned for subsequent Wednesdays.
How to Register for Beginner Mahjong
The library’s beginner mahjong program follows a monthly registration schedule. New participants must register on the first Wednesday of the month to begin, and registration covers all sessions offered during that month.
Registration opened Oct. 28. Participants who need to cancel are asked to provide at least 24 hours’ notice through the cancellation link in their registration confirmation email or by contacting the library directly.
Those interested in joining the program can contact the Land O’Lakes Branch for registration assistance and additional information.
