Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute has announced the addition of a significant group of orthopedic and sports medicine physicians to its growing team, extending its nationally recognized services across both Florida’s east and west coasts.
As part of its continued expansion and commitment to excellence in patient care, medical education, and innovation, the Institute is welcoming new physicians and advanced practice providers through recent strategic integrations and partnerships.
Expansion on Florida’s East Coast
Following Orlando Health’s acquisition of Steward Health Care’s east Central Florida locations, several orthopedic practices and physicians from that region have officially joined the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute team. This expansion brings specialized orthopedic and sports medicine care to the communities of Melbourne, Sebastian, and Vero Beach.
In total, six orthopedic physicians and seven physician assistants are joining the Institute as part of the transition.
Growth on the West Coast of Florida
On Florida’s west coast, 20 orthopedic physicians and 16 physician assistants from Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health have also joined the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. Orthopedic clinics in Brandon, North Tampa, South Tampa, Wiregrass, and Zephyrhills will be rebranded under the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute name in the coming months. The St. Petersburg orthopedic clinic will relocate to the Orlando Health Medical Pavilion – Institute Square this fall, where it will reopen under the new branding.
“We are thrilled to provide greater access to the wide range of specialized musculoskeletal care offered by Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute and welcome our newest physicians and team members,” Michael Jablonski, MD, senior vice president of Orlando Health, and president of Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute and Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute said in a press release. “Our physicians are committed to advanced training, with most completing sub-specialty fellowships in their areas of expertise. We are excited to bring this level of orthopedic care to more communities and expand patient access to our orthopedic specialty hospital in Orlando.”
A Statewide Orthopedic Leader
The Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute Downtown Complex is the first dedicated orthopedic hospital in Florida, serving over 320,000 patients annually. Statewide, the Institute operates 24 clinics and includes a team of 94 physicians and 118 advanced practice providers.
With this latest expansion, Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute reinforces its mission to deliver high-quality, specialized musculoskeletal care while broadening access for patients throughout the state.
