Cheers filled the air as the ribbon cutting celebration commenced at the new Vilasa Thornton Park complex downtown to celebrate its launch on Tuesday, March 3.

The complex on East Robinson Street, sister location to Vilasa Winter Park, featured five available units to tour, and is expected to add on six more units for a total of 11 townhomes. Unit 1002 was available for show to potential buyers.

The model had a bedroom downstairs right of the entrance. Two flights of stairs climb the unit to the second and third floors. The second floor hosted a kitchen and living area. The window-paned walls show the neighboring downtown buildings. In the middle of the floor is an elevator, only featured in the units on the end of the complex. A garage big enough to fit two cars is down the hallway of the first floor bedroom.

Jennifer Sloan, realtor at Compass, and Katherine Kinchla, realtor at Ruth James, collaborated on this luxury downtown project. The launch included a ribbon cutting ceremony with chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, Scott Matthews, and Commissioner Patty Sheehan.

“We’re super excited about bringing this to Thornton Park,” said Sloan.

The complex is meant to be finished in the shape of a square with two units in a duplex. Its design and luxury is meant to attract professionals in town. Its location on East Robinson Street is centered around downtown restaurants and shopping areas.

“We’re hoping that a lot of doctors and attorneys in town will come and see us, and maybe choose for us to be their home,” Sloan said.

The ribbon-cutting celebration featured a tour by Sloan upon walk-in. The units were open from noon to 2:20 p.m. for a brokers’ open.
