On Tuesday, Dec. 2, construction crews and local officials marked the groundbreaking for the soon-to-open White Castle restaurant in Kissimmee, located at 5828 West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway (Route 192) at Holiday Trail, near the Old Town Entertainment District.
According to the announcement, the new Castle will be roughly 3,200 square feet and feature a double drive-thru. As the chain expects lots of drive-up business during post-theme park hours.
Expected to open Spring 2026, the menu will stay the same with the classic Original, Cheese, and Double Cheese sliders, plus breakfast items like the egg and cheese waffle sliders. Along with many iconic items, desserts like fudge-dipped ice cream and cheesecake on a stick will be featured on the menu.
This White Castle will join its existing full-service restaurants in the region, making the Kissimmee location the third White Castle in Central Florida, after the original Orlando and a recently opened spot in Clermont.
By choosing Kissimmee, an area that sees heavy visitor traffic thanks to its tourist location, White Castle appears to be targeting both local regulars and out-of-town guests looking for a familiar late-night slider option.
Founded in 1921, White Castle remains a family-owned business dedicated to delivering flavorful, affordable food with a focus on quality and customer experience.
