H Mart to Open First Florida Store in Orlando this Month

Popular Asian-American supermarket chain H Mart will officially open its doors in Orlando on Wednesday, Sept. 25, marking the company’s first location in Florida.

The highly anticipated store, located at 7501 W. Colonial Drive, is expected to be one of the largest H Mart locations in the country. The grand opening celebration begins at 10 a.m. and will feature giveaways and exclusive promotions for attendees.

“Your city is already home to world-famous amusement parks and endless dining options, but this year just got even better. H Mart is officially here to bring you all your everyday essentials, fresh produce, and tasty goodies right in your neighborhood,” H Mart wrote in a social media post.

What H Mart Orlando Will Offer

H Mart is known for its wide selection of Asian groceries, including:

  • Fresh produce and meats

  • Pantry staples and specialty items from across Asia

  • Skincare and beauty products

  • Kitchenware and household goods

In addition to the supermarket, the Orlando location will feature a sprawling food hall with several well-known vendors:

  • Oh K-Dog & Egg Toast – Korean corn dogs

  • Myung Ga – Korean BBQ & tofu soup

  • JAWS Topokki – Korean street food

  • U Chun – Korean cold noodles & tofu soup

  • Chidon – Japanese fried cutlet

  • Paik’s Noodles – Korean-Chinese cuisine

H Mart’s Expansion into Florida

Founded in 1982 in Woodside, Queens by South Korean immigrant Il Yeon Kwon, H Mart has grown into one of the largest Asian supermarket chains in the United States. The company now operates more than 97 stores nationwide, with Orlando becoming the latest addition.

The Orlando opening reflects H Mart’s continued expansion to serve diverse communities across the country. For Central Florida, it marks the arrival of a long-awaited shopping destination for those seeking authentic Asian ingredients and cuisine.
