Don’t miss the 6th annual 2023 Bears Who Care OktoBEARfest 5K Fun Run & Walk! It’s a healthy, family-friendly event that is always a BEARRIFIC time! Either in person or virtually, walk or fun for a worthwhile cause, Bears Who Care, which provides teddy bears and books to children in need throughout the community.

After the 5K and Kid’s Run, enjoy a morning of fun activities, including live entertainment, interactive sponsor booths, games, a scavenger hunt and prize giveaways!

This year’s event has become even more significant because Kari Schmitz, one of the Bears Who Care co-founders, has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. (Thankfully, she has an active plan in place to fight and hopefully overcome it.) Remember, every registration is a donation to Bears Who Care.
