Uptown Vibes has a new format for 2023. It still brings musical performances from talented local artists across a variety of music genres, but now has been expanded with longer hours and includes more vendors selling unique gifts, artisanal goods, home decor and more.

The event also features food trucks and interactive games.

Canine Costume Contest

Franklin’s Friends is proud to present the tenth annual HOWL-O-WEEN Dog Walk-a-Thon and Canine Costume Contest on October 21 from 9 am to noon at Cranes Roost Park at Uptown Altamonte.  The event will feature a leisurely dog walk, canine costume contest, adoptable dogs, pet-friendly vendors, raffles and more! Registration is $20 per person in advance or  $25 at the door.

There will also be prizes for top individual and team fundraisers and best costumes.  All proceeds benefit Franklin’s Friends – an all volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to support Central Florida animal welfare by awarding grants to local nonprofit and government agencies that are dedicated to Shelter/Rescue, Spay/Neuter, and Community education projects.

Franklin’s Friends is proud to present the tenth annual HOWL-O-WEEN Dog Walk-a-Thon and Canine Costume Contest on October 21, 2023 from 9 am to noon at Cranes Roost Park at Uptown Altamonte.

We will have a dog walk, canine costume contest, adoptable dogs, pet-friendly vendors, music and much more! All proceeds will benefit Franklin’s Friends. Denise Ryan from 98.9 WMMO’s Morning Show will return to emcee. We expect at least 750 animal lovers will come out and enjoy a morning of fun for the whole family. This is an event not to be missed!

Halloween at Cranes Roost is a community-oriented, door-to-door trick-or-treat alternative for kids brought to you by the City of Altamonte Springs. The event features local businesses sponsoring booths to hand out candy and trinkets to an estimated 15,000 kids. The event kicks off with trick-or-treating around Cranes Roost Lake and live entertainment, followed by costume contests, games and surprises throughout the event.
