Summer Nights at Universal Volcano Bay: After-Hours Event Returns With Shorter Lines and Character Meet-and-Greets

Universal Orlando Resort announced on Tuesday the return of Universal Volcano Bay Nights, its after-hours event running on select nights this summer from May 3 to Aug. 21.

Evenings at the water theme park offer guests exclusive menus, meet-and-greets with DreamWorks characters, and shorter wait times for fan-favorite attractions like Krakatu Aqua Coaster, Ko’okiri Body Plunge and TeAwa te Fearless River.

Complimentary treats include Blue Raspberry Churro Bites, Garlic Parmesan Flavored Popcorn. Guests will also have the option to purchase specialty food and beverage items at select locations around the park, and indulge in over 100 drink choices with a complimentary Volcano Bay Freestyle Souvenir Cup.

The select dates for Volcano Bay Nights are the following:

  • May 3, 10, 17, 22 and 31
  • June 5, 12, 18 and 25
  • July 10 and 17
  • August 7, 14 and 21

Festivities will begin at 7 p.m. every event night, but guests are able to arrive as early as 4 p.m. to visit Volcano Bay before the night begins.

Tickets are on sale and can be purchased here for $99 plus tax per person, with parking included. Universal Orlando Passholders receive a special savings of a 10% discount off the ticketed price with proof of an Annual or Seasonal pass, along with a valid photo ID.

For those looking for a more upscale and relaxed evening, private cabanas are available to be reserved for $199.99 plus tax. They must be booked in the park the day of the event and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
