Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will once again transform after dark when Kennedy Under the Stars returns on Saturday, August 30. The annual nighttime event combines space exploration, live entertainment, and interactive activities, with this year’s theme offering a throwback to the early 2000s.
Visitors can expect a variety of experiences throughout the evening, including:
Video DJ in the Rocket Garden – featuring music videos from the early 2000s.
Techno DJ dance party – set in NASA Central with a futuristic light show.
Cosmic Glow Miniature Golf – played beneath the massive Saturn 1B rocket.
STEAM Team demonstrations – multisensory science experiments designed to spark curiosity.
Glowing bar and lounge areas – offering themed drinks and social spaces.
Live performances – entertainment scheduled across the complex throughout the night.
One of the highlights of the evening will be stargazing with the Ortega Observatory of Florida Tech, where attendees can look through advanced telescopes and learn from astrophysicists about celestial phenomena.
Adding to the experience, guests will have the chance to meet real astronauts. This year’s event will feature appearances by Ellen Ochoa, the first Hispanic woman to travel into space, and Mike Foreman, a veteran of two spaceflights with more than 26 days spent in orbit, according to NASA.
