Grocery fans in Brevard County are getting some longtime news: Trader Joe’s will soon open its first store in the area. The location will be at The Avenue Viera shopping center, taking over the space formerly occupied by Michael’s craft store.
On September 2, the Trader Joe’s website added Melbourne to their “Coming Soon” list which made many Space Coast residents excited for opening day.

For residents of Brevard County, this marks the first local Trader Joe’s. Many have had to travel to Orlando or other nearby counties to access one. Having a store in Viera will be much more convenient.
So far six locations have been opened in Central Florida, making this the seventh.

Per the website, the store will be situated at 2221 Town Center Ave. in Melbourne, and stay tuned for more information on the Grand Opening expected in Spring of 2026.
