The Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA) has been named one of Central Florida’s Top Workplaces for the fourth consecutive year, earning recognition in the Orlando Sentinel’s 2026 Top Workplaces program.
KUA ranked 13th among 24 midsize employers included on this year’s list. The recognition is based on employee feedback about their workplace experience, including areas such as engagement, leadership, appreciation, respect, and support.
KUA Recognition Based on Employee Feedback
The Orlando Sentinel’s Top Workplaces honors were determined through confidential employee surveys administered by Energage, LLC, an independent organization that specializes in workplace assessments.
Employees evaluated 24 aspects of their workplace experience. The survey examined factors that can shape company culture, including how employees view leadership, whether they feel appreciated and respected, and the level of support they receive.
KUA President and General Manager Brian Horton said the recognition reflects the culture created by the utility’s employees and the organization’s focus on helping its staff grow professionally while contributing to KUA’s work.
Energage CEO Eric Rubino also emphasized the importance of employee input in the Top Workplaces program, noting that the recognition comes directly from workplace feedback rather than an evaluation by company leadership.
