LEGOLAND® Florida Resort is set to launch its most ambitious attraction to date—a state-of-the-art, space-themed indoor roller coaster—slated to open in early 2026. Operated by Merlin Entertainments, the resort is expanding its immersive offerings with a new LEGO® space adventure that promises cutting-edge technology, interactive storytelling, and excitement for the entire family.

A New Era of LEGO Innovation

The new attraction, located in the northernmost area of LEGO City, will feature LEGOLAND Florida’s first-ever indoor roller coaster, designed to propel guests into a brick-built galaxy filled with imaginative worlds and interstellar characters. Created in collaboration with the LEGO Group and brought to life by Merlin Magic Making’s global team of designers and engineers, the ride marks a major milestone for the park.

“This is more than just a ride—it’s a fully immersive mission that begins the moment guests enter the building,” said Blake Boyter, Senior Project Manager at Merlin Magic Making. “From lift-off to landing, it’s LEGOLAND Florida’s most technologically advanced and ambitious attraction yet.”

What to Expect in the New Space-Themed Area

Ultimate Indoor Coaster Experience:
Guests will board a thrilling new roller coaster launching from LEGOLAND SPACEPORT 885—named after the classic LEGO® Space Scooter Set #885. This high-energy, indoor experience blends innovative ride technology with an interactive storyline, making it the first new roller coaster inside the main park since LEGOLAND Florida’s opening in 2011.

Orbital Outpost Retail Shop:
Commemorate your space mission with themed merchandise, LEGO sets, and gear from a dedicated retail location that’s just as immersive as the ride itself.

Story-Driven Queue:
Rain or shine, guests will enjoy an engaging, covered queue area that sets the stage for adventure. The queue experience is designed to entertain and immerse families in the mission even before takeoff.

DUPLO® TOT Spot for Young Explorers:
Children ages 1–4 can play and explore in a shaded, soft-surface area with DUPLO® bricks, vehicles, characters, and a photo opportunity—perfect for younger astronauts-in-training and their families.

A Historic Investment in LEGOLAND Parks

This attraction represents the largest single in-park investment in the history of both LEGOLAND Florida and LEGOLAND California, where an identical coaster will also debut in 2026. Combined, the projects account for over $90 million in development, underscoring Merlin Entertainments’ commitment to innovation in family entertainment.

Admission and Additional Experiences

Access to the new space-themed experience will be included with regular park admission and all Annual Passes. LEGOLAND Florida encourages families to secure Annual Passes now to enjoy a full calendar of seasonal events, including:

  • Go Xtreme! summer stunt shows

  • Brick-or-Treat, featuring the popular Monster Skytacular drone show

  • Holidays at LEGOLAND, packed with festive fun

  • The newly opened SEA LIFE Florida Aquarium

Stay and Play

Guests can enhance their visit by booking vacation packages at the LEGOLAND Hotel, which includes ticket options and exclusive experiences. For the latest updates, including the official ride name and opening date, follow LEGOLAND Florida on social media or visit the official website.

As 2026 approaches, LEGOLAND Florida is preparing to take families on an unforgettable journey through LEGO space—where imagination and adventure know no bounds.
