All day on June 30, restaurants around the state of Florida and their employees and guests will be donating time and money to support the Orlando community after the devastating Pulse nightclub tragedy.
Dining Out for Orlando United is an initiative led by the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association in partnership with VISIT FLORIDA. On this day, restaurants will choose to donate in any way they see fit, from donating a portion of sales or profits to making a donation for every guest served, and employees can volunteer their time or donate a portion of their tips. All proceeds raised will be donated to the OneOrlando Fund, which was designed to respond to the needs of those affected by the Pulse nightclub tragedy now and in the future.
How can you get involved?
Guests: Dine at a participating restaurant on June 30, and/or choose to make direct donations.
Employees: Work a shift on June 30, choose to volunteer your time, or donate a portion of your tips.
Participating restaurants will:
- Donating a portion of total sales
- Making a donation for every guest served
- Collecting donations received from guests and staff
- Donating a portion of total profits
- Making a donation for every sales of a specific item
- Identifying a set donation amount that’s right for you
