A Well-Deserved Day of Pampering

Winning Entry: “Kelly is Daddy’s little girl, and he was my husband for 30 years. Last year, we held his hand and said goodbye to this precious man as he lost his battle to cancer. The pain makes it hard to feel joy again, and I want this for my baby, my rock.”

Mom: Linda Posavetz

Daughter: Kelly Posavetz

Community: Lake Nona

Spa services: In addition to facials and massages, Linda and Kelly had side-by-side manicures and pedicures where they were able to relax and chat over wine. Kelly chose a light pink shade called Hawaiian Orchid by OPI, and Linda chose a warm purple tone called Louvre Me Louvre Me Not by OPI.

Hair services: Neither Linda or Kelly wanted to give up their beautiful, natural red hair. So Jenna worked with Kelly, adding a clear demi gloss to add shine and cutting her hair in layers to blend in the bangs. Kristina worked with Linda, using some color on her hairline and adding gloss at the end to keep it shiny. For the cut, she trimmed the bottom layer and took away some weight in the middle to give her some volume at the top.

Makeup services: Opting for a more natural look, Jenna evened out Kelly’s complexion and accentuated her cheekbones before accentuating her eyes with a pretty, smoky look and some fake lashes. Joleen gave Linda an elegant look with bright red lips and a dramatic eye color with fake lashes.

Post-Makeover Thoughts

“Kelly and I had a spectacular day. It will be a day that we will remember for a lifetime. Words cannot express how grateful I was to see my beautiful daughter shine again after the loss of her dad, my wonderful husband, to his battle with cancer. She is my rock and I loved to see her have this special day. We felt like superstars. Our family, friends and my husband’s USSSA community made it possible for us to have this awesome experience.”
