A Digital Makeover

Dr. Bella Dattani of Maitland Primary Care and her staff started 2016 off in a new way and with a brand new office space. On the corner of Lee Road and U.S. 17-92, inside the Ravaudage center, the practice’s new location is in the heart of Winter Park. With its light, modern décor and new technologies, the office has a whole new vibe that will make patients feel like they have it all.

“When it came to choosing the elements for the new office, it was all about tailoring the experience to the patient and making it convenient for them overall, from the soothing colors and fragrances in the lobby down to our procedure for doing lab work,” Dr. Dattani says.

The new space saw changes, including a digital makeover, that now make going to the doctor as stress-free as possible. Along with new diagnostic equipment and new computers for each exam room, there is also a TV in every room and free Wi-Fi for patient use.

Patients also have access to a patient portal where they can conveniently access their test results and medical records online. If they have questions or concerns, the staff is available by messaging through the patient portal or by phone during business hours to offer assistance.

At Maitland Primary Care, lipid panel tests for cholesterol and hemoglobin A1c tests for diabetes are performed in the office, so there is no waiting around for results to come back from a lab. Instead, patients can schedule an appointment for lab work in the office, get answers from the doctor immediately, and pick up any necessary medications before they leave. Being a one-stop shop in this way saves patients from having to run all over town to get what they need.

While the practice now has a completely digital office space, there are still some old-school standards that remain important to Dr. Dattani and her team. During business hours, a person will always answer the phone. Instead of listening to a list and pressing a button to connect, a familiar voice will always be on the other end of the line to help.

“Maitland Primary Care is a state-of-the-art medical practice that still keeps the human touch,” Dr. Dattani says. “Our patients deserve having the opportunity to talk to a human when they call our office.”

Dr. Dattani strives to offer a long list of medical services in a quick and effective way for patients from the age of 18 to 118. Same-day appointments are available when requested, making it that much more convenient to be seen by the doctor.
